Description

RDM is essential for ensuring data security, long-term usability, and compliance with institutional and funding requirements. This project FORTH-BW develops a practical, secure, and researcher-friendly RDM system tailored to Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Baden-Württemberg. A central outcome is the FORTH-BW network, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across universities.
Dissemination plays a crucial role in integrating RDM into UAS environments, characterized by applied research, shorter project cycles, and industry collaborations. Strategies include workshops, train-the-trainer programs, online courses,to equip researchers, students, and institutional staff with practical RDM skills.
Key challenges include data loss, lack of documentation, and unclear ownership, addressed through institutional RDM policies, persistent storage solutions, and embedding RDM in funding applications. By promoting collaboration, transparency, and sustainable archiving, the project ensures that RDM becomes an integral part of applied research at UAS.
