Description
The poster presents the way in which the new Research Data Hub organizes its central infrastructure as a collaborative project between the University Library and the Munich Data Science Institute. It shows different training formats and counseling services for research projects and the specific challenges that arise with the needs of heterogeneous projects at TUM.
The poster shows the development of the different services from the first days of research data management at the University Library to the inception of the Hub in 2023 and to the present date. It illustrates how the use of the services has changed over time and how these changes have served to refine the service portfolio of the Hub. The section ends with an outlook on future developments.
In addition, the poster presents one exemplary challenge in the counseling context that gave an impulse to extend the service portfolio of the Hub. The Institute of Machine Tools and Industrial Management contacted the Research Data Hub in order to standardize the management of physical data. The poster shows how this challenge led to the development of a checklist that could be reused in other cases and gave the impulse for the development of new services.
